Tax Director Job Vacancy

This leading accountancy firm is looking for an ambitious and skilled Tax Director to join their team in Manchester. Seeking a highly experienced tax professional who is confident to work with large corporations and multi-nationals to provide an enhanced level of tax advice.

The successful candidate will be CTA qualified with demonstrable experience of tax and leadership. Once appointed, they will become a valued, senior member of the team and will oversee the tax advisory function, advising on and developing all tax matters for the firm’s valued portfolio.

With the focus on large scale corporate advisory work, the successful candidate will have up to the minute knowledge of legislature , you will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to see and implement changes to processes to improve service delivery to clients. You will also have a strong record of accomplishment of improving profitability and exceeding client expectations, representing the firm with excellent communications skills.

Job Purpose

  • Lead the tax advisory function for large scale clients of the firm.
  • Take the lead on transactions such as disposals, mergers and acquisitions.
  • Advise on all areas of the tax compliance process, key deadlines and activities required.
  • Reporting to international group finance teams/advisors.
  • Assistance with ERS reporting and advice.
  • Advising on group re-structuring.
  • International transactions.
  • Transfer pricing issues.
  • BREXIT issues.
  • Due diligence.
  • Support for the corporate finance department in connection with company related transactions, including review of tax warranties.
  • Permanent establishment enquiries.
  • Client relationship management.
  • Delivering marketing/networking presentations.
  • The leadership of the tax advisory department, management of the team and oversight of workflow.
  • Client relationship management.
  • Networking and business development.
