Job Title: Import Customs Clerk - Air Freight
Location: Swinton, Manchester
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

We are an international freight forwarder processing import / export and UK shipments for our clients by road/ sea and air.
Our mission is to provide efficient and bespoke freight solutions with a personal touch, ensuring a high level of service and communication to our customers and suppliers alike.
We are currently looking for an experienced customs clearance clerk to join our busy customs team in Manchester.
The Role:
This is an office-based role in Swinton, M27 joining a team of dynamic Customs Clearance team who look after the customs requirements of the whole company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing & submitting export entries (All Transport Modes)
- Raising T1's for road export shipments
- Processing & submitting import entries (All Transport Modes)
- Issuing cleared and released notices to colleagues
About you:
- Minimum of 2 Years' Experience within the freight industry.
- We would prefer experience in processing both import and export clearances.
- Previous use of the platform 'Descartes' for submitting entries is preferred but not essential.
- We are looking for someone with industry experience.
- A positive attitude.
- A keen eye for detail.
Benefits:
- 20 days holiday + bank holiday. After 2 years' service you will get 2 extra days, then rising by 1 day each year thereafter to 30 days (max). In addition to this, 2 days will be granted as a gift between Christmas and new year.
