About the Role:
As a Multimodal Logistics Operator, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods through various transportation modes (road, air, and sea). You will ensure that shipments are completed efficiently, on time, and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
Multimodal Operator Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, booking, and coordination of multimodal transport solutions (land, sea, air).
- Monitor shipments to ensure they are on schedule, and address any issues that may arise.
- Prepare and manage all shipping documentation, including customs paperwork and import/export forms.
- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless transportation operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to track, manage, and optimize supply chain logistics.
- Stay up-to-date with transportation regulations and compliance standards across multiple modes of transport.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and costs for reporting purposes.
- Resolve any transportation issues, delays, or discrepancies in a timely manner.
Multimodal Operator Requirements:
- Previous experience in logistics, specifically with multimodal transport.
- Strong understanding of customs regulations, shipping documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage time effectively.
- Proficient in using logistics software and tools.
- A problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to challenges.
- Knowledge of international shipping and transport networks is a plus.
