This specialist school offers a nurturing, supportive environment where students can thrive through tailored approaches to education.The successful candidate will lead the Construction curriculum, delivering practical and engaging lessons to inspire students who face barriers in mainstream education. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people who require a more individualised approach to learning.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day support for pupils within a SEMH class, catering to their individual abilities and needs..• Lead small-group activities and interventions to reinforce learning objectives and promote engagement.• Provide PPA cover for the class teacher, delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) within a SEN setting, particularly with SEMH pupils, is highly desirable.
  •  Strong understanding of SEMH and strategies for supporting pupils with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to meeting the diverse needs of pupils.
  • Registration required through Milk Education before an immediate start.
