A specialist school in Manchester are looking for an Unqualified Teacher dedicated to making a positive impact on the education and social skills of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

The Unqualified Teacher role will involve delivering pre-planned lessons to vulnerable students aged 11-16 and responding to the pastoral needs of the pupils in a caring and empathetic manner. They have a supportive staff team who effectively share expertise, skills and knowledge and promote an ethos of disciplined behaviour to ensure effective learning. The school are open to applicants from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.

Requirements
The desired Unqualified Teacher will:

  • Possess the desire to develop and deliver an adapted curriculum suited to excluded pupils and those at risk of exclusion.
  • Understand the communication skills required to teach children with barriers to learning and who may be disengaged with education.
  • Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to inclusive education practices and ensuring equal opportunities for all students regardless of their background.
  • Be willing to partake in our training delivered by Qualified Teachers at Vision for Education.
