Employer description: Remtek Systems Limited is a reputable provider of disabled student allowance computer equipment and software, assistive technology training, and ergonomic working solutions. Established in 1974, we are committed to continually enhancing our services to better serve our customers. Our team members are carefully selected for their alignment with our customer base and undergo comprehensive training in both Assistive Technology and Disability Awareness. 

Overview: As an apprentice at Remtek Systems Limited, you will have the opportunity to embark on a fulfilling career path within our company. You will be an integral part of our team, assisting in various tasks related to providing assistive technology solutions and support to our clients. 

Throughout the apprenticeship, you will receive in-house training, guidance, and mentorship by the friendly Team which consists of a number of former and current IT Apprentices who will be at hand to help you develop your skills and knowledge in the field of IT.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the provision of disabled student allowance computer equipment and software 
  • Participate in online IT technology solutions and guidance 
  • Collaborate with team members 
  • Prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively 
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation 
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels 

You will need to be flexibly adapt to the needs of the business, including working beyond normal hours when required.

  • Passion for IT and Technology 
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently 
  • Strong organisational and time management skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team 
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies 
  • Commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities 
  • Willingness to undertake overtime when necessary 

Entry requirements: 

  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject 
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above) 
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject 

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Salary: £16,640 per annum. You will gain competitive apprentice wage with performance reviews for potential increases in the first 12 months. 

Working week: Monday - Friday: 8:30am to 5pm (40 hours a week)
