Pertemps Manchester are looking for a paint sprayer/prepper for our client based in Middleton, previous experienceis required and the role is a temporary position for a contract with a minimum of 4 weeks.

Shift pattern: Monday - Friday
07.30-17.00

Pay rate: 11.44 - 15.00 based on experience

You will play a crucial role in the preparation of surfaces for painting, ensuring that all items are ready for the application of paint. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality. You will work closely with the painting team to ensure that all necessary preparations are completed efficiently and effectively.

Duties

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as required.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools to assist in the preparation process.
  • Conduct inspections of surfaces to identify any imperfections or areas needing additional attention.
  • Assist in heavy lifting and moving of materials and equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to understand the operation of various tools and equipment.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, and brushes.
  • Experience with power tools including drills and sprayers.
