Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them stay on the right track? Our secondary school in Blackley is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work in our Behaviour Hub, supporting students aged 11-16 who are at risk of permanent exclusion.

?? Role Overview:

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students in the Behaviour Hub, helping them develop positive behaviours and reintegrate into the school system. Your role will involve:

  • Engaging with students who are at risk of permanent exclusion, building strong and trusting relationships
  • Providing guidance, support, and conflict resolution to help improve behaviour and emotional well-being
  • Collaborating with teachers and staff to implement behaviour strategies and promote a positive school experience
  • Monitoring and reporting on student progress, adapting your approach based on individual needs
?? Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Previous experience working with young people in a professional setting (experience in education, youth work, or mentoring preferred)
  • The ability to build strong relationships with students and understand their individual challenges
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with young people at risk of exclusion
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with students, staff, and parents
  • A passion for supporting and motivating students to make positive changes
