Overview:
Equitas is currently recruiting for a dedicated and proactive Cover Supervisor / Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Salford. This is a full-time, long-term maternity cover position, offering the opportunity to work closely with a small group of students, delivering engaging lessons up to KS4 GCSE level. The successful candidate must hold a full UK driving license.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a positive and disciplined learning environment.
Confidently deliver pre-planned lessons in Maths, English, and Science up to KS4 GCSE level.
Engage students across various subjects, following the school’s set lesson plans.
Provide individual support to students, encouraging their understanding and participation.
Efficiently manage classroom resources to maintain smooth lesson flow.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere by building strong relationships with students.
Collaborate with teaching staff and school leadership to ensure learning continuity in the absence of the regular teacher.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is essential.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students.
A proactive, independent approach to working alongside colleagues.
Full UK driving license is required.
Enhanced DBS check required.
