We believe in providing tailored support to help students overcome barriers to learning, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and Emotional-Based School Avoidance (EBSA). We are currently seeking a compassionate and flexible Nurture Teacher to join our team and support our students' emotional and academic growth.

Job Overview:
We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable Nurture Teachers who will work with students in a variety of settings, including libraries and at students' homes, depending on their individual needs. With the option to choose your own hours within the school day, you will have the flexibility to work around your schedule while making a meaningful impact on the lives of students who require additional emotional and academic support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess tailored lessons for students with SEND, SEMH, and EBSA.
  • Enjoy flexible working hours within the school day, allowing you to design a schedule that suits your needs.
  • Work in various settings, including local libraries or students' homes, to ensure the best learning environment for each individual.
  • Create a safe and supportive environment that helps students develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the well-being and progress of each student.
  • Track and monitor student progress, adapting your teaching strategies to meet evolving needs.
  • Implement strategies to promote positive behavior and emotional well-being.

Key Requirements:

  • PGCE with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Experience working with students with SEND, SEMH, and EBSA is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to teaching and problem-solving, including the ability to adapt to various learning environments.
  • Passion for supporting students' emotional, social, and academic growth.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a supportive team.
  • A commitment to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
