Job Duties:
  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
  • Assisting teachers in implementing individual education plans for students with SEN
  • Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help
  • Assisting with classroom management and ensuring a safe learning environment
  • Helping students with personal care needs, if required
Required Qualifications:
  • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
  • Good understanding of SEN strategies and techniques
Experience:

Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a similar setting

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN
  • Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Working Conditions:

This role involves working within a school environment, supporting students with SEN. The Teaching Assistant may need to assist with personal care and be prepared to handle challenging behaviour. The work is full-time and temporary in nature, based in Salford, Greater Manchester.
