Overview:
Equitasare seeking a dedicated and independent Cover Supervisor / Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to lead on a threeday a weekOutreach programme. This role involves working with a small group of 7 students, delivering engaging learning experiences in various community settings. The successful candidate will also provide support for teaching and learning at a Teaching Centre for the remaining two days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead theprogramme, ensuring that students receive high-quality learning experiences that are engaging and tailored to their needs.
  • Supervise students to and from community buildings in a mini bus, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with other staff member to create a positive learning environment, fostering strong relationships with students to promote their personal and educational growth.
  • Support teaching and learning at the Teaching Centre, assisting with lesson delivery and classroom management.
  • Build positive relationships with young people, providing encouragement and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet the diverse needs of students, promoting inclusivity and engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational or outreach setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students.
  • A proactive and independent approach to working alongside other staff members.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development (HLTA qualification preferred).
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
