The location of the role is Salford Quays (hybrid working).

The duration of the contract is 6 months.

The pay rate on offer is 250 per day.

Role Summary

Fully woven into the DNA of the business, our Finance team plays a fundamental role in setting the pace for our key business decisions, shaping our budgets, analysing our sales, managing costs and making sure our most vital statistics and data are absolutely accurate.

Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager - Group Support and Technical, you'll be leading the Corporate and retail team within the Group Support and Technical structure in Record to Report where you will engage with key partners up to head of finance level, communicating with and influencing senior business partners on outputs and results.

Key accountabilities of the role

  • Responsible for managing reporting and requirements for the Corporate and Retail Record to Report (R2R) finance function.
  • Manage ongoing and future shared service transition of processes from London to BSC in Manchester, working closely with SFM Record to Report - Group Support and Technical, and key business partners in London
  • Develop a continuous improvement culture within the team to ensure that the service is being delivered in the most effective way, putting the customer at the heart of everything the team delivers.
  • Line manage, coach and develop team members, creating succession and developing talent through a period of transformation across the wider business

Key skills and experience

  • Experienced accountant, qualified (ACMA, ACA, ACCA) or close to completing exams
  • Drives implementation of changing priorities positively and develops the team to do the same
  • Adapts influencing style to achieve a positive resolution that maintains successful relationships
  • Experience managing teams within a corporate environment
