Salford City Council are seeking a Senior Communications Officer who is passionate about making a real difference in the community and thrives in a dynamic environment. This role offers the opportunity to work across the council and various partnerships, requiring a professional with the credibility to influence and collaborate effectively.
Day-to-day of the role:- Work closely with the Communications Manager to develop and deliver comprehensive communications plans for various projects across the council and the city.
- Act as an account lead, providing strategic communications and marketing support and advice to colleagues, partners, and elected members.
- Enhance the reputation of the council and the city by working alongside a team of multi-disciplinary communications professionals and communications leads across our partnerships.
- Support the delivery of evidence-based campaigns and targeted communication strategies across both digital and offline channels.
- Focus on delivering the elected City Mayor’s vision and objectives through diverse projects.
- Proven experience in communications, public relations, or a similar role.
- Strong ability to produce effective and exciting campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Excellent strategic thinking and planning skills, with a track record of delivering successful communication outcomes.
- Ability to work collaboratively and respect the contributions of others.
- Skilled in digital communications and media relations.
- Able to work across Greater Manchester locations as needed
