Are you a candidate that may be looking for your first step into a purchasing / buying department? Do you have experience of using and operating advanced excel? The Recruitment Co. are currently one of our key clients looking to add to their current purchasing team and this could be the ideal opportunity for you!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing product enquiries from internal and external customers in relation to product availability
  • Using databases, national websites and accumulated data, research each product enquiry to identify which countries a product is available in, taking into consideration requested brands as well as viable alternatives
  • Liaise with the buyers to obtain pricing and availability information on products from initial query
  • Collate all responses and respond to query originator
  • Manage and maintain databases and spreadsheets in relation to live and historic queries
  • Own all enquiries from start to finish for designated customers
  • Responsible for ensuring the Import Approval database is maintained
  • Liaising with the internal stakeholders to ensure MHRA compliance
  • Analyse, review and input data as required by the wider team
  • Provide support on a variety of projects that assist the department on an ad hoc basis
  • Maintenance of supplier and product data in company systems and databases
  • Adhere to GMP/GDP regulations

The Person:

  • High level of perseverance
  • Thorough in approach with a high attention to detail
  • High level of computer literacy, to include all main Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Strong organisational and administration skills
  • Able and willing to take ownership and use initiative where required to see tasks through to the end
  • Proficient in MS Excel
