Description

Lead the product, sourcing & brand strategy.
To lead and implement product category strategies and to maximise performance & KPI's across multiple product areas.
To drive and implement clear fashion trends to ensure exciting and commercial ranges are created across the appropriate customer group.
Achieve a bought-in margin (BIM) that supports market competitive prices, sales targets and a good, better, best range that is in line with competition that achieves the Dept BIM.
To innovate & implement in terms of product opportunity, range and attributes through strategic thinking.
Input into the development of the Supplier strategy for your departments.
To regularly seek out and meet new Suppliers to understand the Global Market, and act upon the opportunities within.
Take ownership of omni-channel Trading across all customer facias.
To strategically plan to react and trade to sales on volume lines by working closely with the Merchandising teams.
Maintain a high level of product knowledge and commercial awareness.

Profile

A successful Senior Buyer should have:

Experience in a buying role within the home and lifestyle sector.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills, preferably FE.
A strong commercial awareness and understanding of the homeware market.
Ability and commitment to working in a fully office-based role.
The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in using retail and procurement software.

Job Offer

An estimated salary range of £45,000 to £60,000 GBP per annum, depending on experience.
