Job Title: Quantity Surveyor


About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to oversee the financial and contractual aspects of both planned and reactive maintenance projects. The successful candidate will ensure cost control, procurement, and financial reporting are effectively managed while maintaining high-quality standards and compliance with industry regulations.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the commercial aspects of planned and reactive maintenance works.

  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness.

  • Conduct cost analysis, risk assessments, and value engineering to optimize project performance.

  • Assess and process variations, claims, and final accounts.

  • Support the procurement process, ensuring cost-efficient and quality-driven supplier selection.

  • Provide financial reports and forecasts to management.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and contractual obligations.

  • Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure smooth project delivery.

  • Contribute to the improvement of cost control systems and financial procedures.



Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

  • Proven experience in quantity surveying within planned and reactive maintenance projects.

  • Strong understanding of JCT and NEC contracts.

  • Excellent knowledge of cost management, procurement, and financial forecasting.

  • Proficiency in construction-related software and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
