Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and supporting families through some of the most complex times of their lives.
  • Completing single assessments, risk assessments, s47 investigations, viability assessments, parenting assessments and courtwork, within the public and private sectors
  • Undertaking adoption work and completing Child Permanence Reports (integral to the role)
  • Undertaking court work, supported by your practice development manager and team manager as required

To be considered for the Social Worker role, ideally you will have:

  • 1-3 years' experience in child protection and care proceedings
  • Experience of long term child protection and assessment work
  • Be able to manage a full and complex caseload
  • Be child-focused and able to implement relationship-based and systemic-based practises
  • Have a good knowledge of the issues and risks faced by children in care and the procedures to manage these
  • Work well individually and within a team
