We are hiring for a SEND Teaching Assistant in Salford!

We are looking for a Secondary SEND Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children or young adults with additional needs, this could include Autism, Learning Difficulties, Emotional, Sensory or Communication Needs.

Role

  • SEND Teaching Assistant at special needs high school in the Salford area.
  • Supporting specifically in their Resistant Materials department so some prior experience in this or similar is preferable.
  • Managing behaviour, contributing to a safe, inclusive and positive working environment, collaborating with the class teacher, other TAs, parents and outside professionals, providing emotional and learning support as well.
  • Times - Monday to Friday 8:15am-3:15pm.
  • Contract - Start ASAP, full time, possible temporary to permanent for right person.
  • Pay - Up to £90/day for first 12 weeks
  • Equal pay to what you would receive on contract from 13th week onwards.
  • Paid PAYE via Tradewind. We don't use umbrella pay companies!

  • All students have an EHCP for Autism, SEMH & Learning, Communication or Sensory needs.
