SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 3)Are you looking for your next SEN TA role? - SalfordHays Education are in partnership with an SEN school in Salford seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their provision team in 2025, supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a temporary role with the potential to become permanent depending on fit and performance.Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing tailored care and support to students with SEND and SEMH
  • Creating a safe and positive learning environment to maximise development
  • Working alongside teachers, parents and therapists to support students' growth and development
  • Implementing positive behaviour plans and exercising de-escalation techniques and strategies

Key Requirements:

  • Level 3 TA qualification
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting or with children
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting pupils with SEN
  • A good understanding of effective behaviour management
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
  • Full UK Driving Licence desirable but not essential
