Specialist Teaching Assistant in Salford PRU, Full-time ASAP Start

Job Description:

Hays Education is seeking a specialist TA on behalf of a primary PRU in Salford. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced individual who is ideally Team Teach trained, possesses strong behaviour management skills, and has experience working within SEN settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and implementing behaviour management strategies
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a supportive learning environment
  • Support students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis

Requirements:

  • Team Teach trained (preferred)
  • Proven experience in behaviour management
  • Previous experience working with SEN students is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
