Our School caters to students with a variety of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, physical disabilities, and complex learning difficulties. Our school is a nurturing and inclusive community where every student is supported to reach their full potential.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring that pre-set work is completed.
  • Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Support students with their learning, adapting tasks to meet their individual needs.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies and ethos.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to provide tailored support for students.
  • Participate in school activities and contribute to the wider school community.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking someone who is:

  • Experienced working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN setting.
  • Calm, patient, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
  • Able to manage challenging situations with a positive and proactive approach.
  • Confident in leading and engaging groups of students.
  • Adaptable and resilient, thriving in a fast-paced school environment.
  • Qualified with GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; additional qualifications in education or SEN are desirable but not essential.
