The Role - Cover Supervisor
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students complete pre-set work.
- Supporting students with their learning, adapting tasks to meet individual needs.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Collaborating with teaching assistants and other staff to provide tailored support for students.
- Participating in school activities and contributing to the wider school community.
This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about education and enjoys helping students overcome challenges to succeed.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a committed and adaptable individual who:
- Has experience working with children or young people, preferably in an SEN setting.
- Is calm, patient, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
- Is confident in managing challenging behaviour using positive and proactive approaches.
- Can lead and engage groups of students effectively.
- Thrives in a fast-paced school environment and is adaptable to changing situations.
- Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; additional qualifications in education or SEN are a bonus but not essential.
