We are currently working with a Manchester based Housing Association, who are recruiting for a Disrepair Manager, initially on a three-month basis, with a chance to become permanent following on from this.

Our client is proud to be recognised as an industry leader in relation to Disrepair and the management of damp and mould, and is looking for a candidate who shares the same passion for the industry.

This is a full-time position offering a daily rate of £300  - £350 per day, paid via an Umbrella Company, and they are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing a Housing Association's Disrepair Process and case load, including managing a team of surveyors and a disrepair officer
  • Attending court hearings related to Disrepair claims as required
  • Developing processes to ensure claims are mitigated moving forward
  • Understanding the different liabilities covered by the HA
  • Auditing the surveys of surveyors to ensure they are in line with company protocol
  • Utilising knowledge of legislation relating to disrepair, including Section 9, Section 10 and Section 11
  • Reviewing the work of elected contractors, ensuring this complies with internal objectives
  • Ensuring all data is robust and recorded accurately

 

Experience required:

  • Extensive experience in disrepair, damp and mould management and housing repairs
