We are seeking a dynamic and qualified Games Design Teacher to join our centre of excellence for creative and digital courses. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the games design and gaming industry and is eager to provide the highest standard of education to students aspiring to excel in the creative and digital sectors.

Job Title: GAMES DESIGN LECTURER

Location: SALFORD

Hours: FULL-TIME

Position: PERMANENT

Pay Rate: £26,444 - £43,795

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Teach Games Design across levels 1-3, adhering to BTEC and OCR standards.
  • Utilise outstanding IT facilities and the latest technology to provide an engaging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with national and local businesses to enhance the educational experience.
  • Implement a student-first approach to teaching, ensuring a creative, fun, and exciting classroom atmosphere.
  • Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new technologies to inspire students.
  • Guide students through the conceptual and design pipeline processes of games art and product development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed).
  • A good honours degree in a relevant subject discipline or significant industry experience within the Games sector.
  • Proficiency in 3DsMax and an understanding of Maya and/or Blender.
  • Knowledge of games design software, particularly Unreal Engine, as well as Adobe Products. Experience in Revit/Unity is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the conceptual and design pipeline process of games art and product development.
  • A passion for the games design and gaming industry.
  • Ability to utilise new technologies to engage and inspire students.
