Sports Graduates - Alternative Provision (SEMH Experience)Location: SalfordAre you a recent Sports Graduate looking to gain invaluable experience working with young people who face challenges in mainstream education? Aspire People are seeking enthusiastic and resilient individuals to join an alternative provision in Salford, helping to guide students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.The students come from diverse backgrounds and are unable to attend mainstream schools due to a variety of reasons. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact on their education and personal development.Key Responsibilities:* Engage students in sports and physical activities that build confidence, teamwork, and resilience.* Support students with SEMH needs through tailored educational programs and activities.* Build strong, trusting relationships with students from diverse backgrounds, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.* Use your sports background to inspire and motivate students who face significant barriers to education.* Manage challenging behaviour effectively, using de-escalation techniques and a calm, supportive approach.* Work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to develop individual learning plans and support strategies.Key Requirements:* A UK degree in sports or a related field.* A passion for working with young people, particularly those with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour.* Resilience and confidence when dealing with difficult situations and behaviours.* Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students.* Firm but fair approach, ensuring students feel supported while maintaining clear boundaries.* A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic and sometimes unpredictable environment.All candidates who register with Aspire People will have 2 years referencing taken up and will be required to have an enhanced DBS check completed and must be on the update service.We also offer a referral bonus of up to £250 for recommendations of candidates suitable for any of the roles we are recruiting for.Apply today and someone from Aspire People will be in touch if you are shortlisted.Aspire People Limited provides services as an Education Agency and an Education Employment Business.
