The Country Manager (UK & Ireland) is responsible for expanding and optimising sales structures to strengthen market positioning and align with the company's global strategy. This role will oversee all sales and marketing activities, ensuring growth, brand expansion, and the successful execution of key initiatives.

Responsibilities

Business Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and manage the UK & Ireland business unit, driving revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Develop and execute customised sales and marketing strategies to strengthen the Swarovski Optik brand.
  • Align business activities with global corporate strategies and market-specific opportunities.
  • Implement and oversee sales training programmes to enhance team performance.
  • Oversee operational sales, revenue, and cost planning, ensuring financial targets are met.

Sales & Market Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, implementing Joint Business Planning (JBP) and Annual Business Planning (ABP) initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Lead the market launch of new products, ensuring strong positioning and customer adoption.
  • Develop a strong network within target groups to support sales growth and brand visibility.

Operations & Financial Oversight

  • Ensure compliance with financial and operational guidelines, including monitoring customer creditworthiness and managing the dunning process when necessary.
  • Oversee sales data analysis, generating reports to inform strategic decisions.
  • Implement brand communication guidelines to maintain a consistent and compelling brand image.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team to drive performance and accountability.
  • Conduct market mapping and customer planning exercises to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Manage forecasting processes to ensure accurate demand planning.
  • Represent Swarovski Optik at key consumer and trade fairs, strengthening brand presence.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Proven commercial experience in sales and marketing, ideally within premium consumer goods or optics industries.
  • Experience managing a business unit, including P&L responsibility and strategic planning.
  • Strong business development expertise, with a track record of driving growth and market expansion.

  • Financial acumen, including experience in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management.
