Your Company:NET Recruit are delighted to be supporting a fantastic services business, to support their search for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join the team, operating within the Salisbury area. With a great reputation for provide high class services to their clients, this business operates largely within the medical and healthcare sector, with the aim of improving care and services that customers generally receive, promoting the best possible interactions, whilst also delivering medical care of the highest standard across a few different medical areas.As a result of company growth, this is a newly created role, working at the heart of the finance function, supporting senior members of the team with a diverse range of duties. The overall aim of the position holder will be to ensure that financial accounting and reporting is executed in a timely and accurate manner to support business activities.Role and ResponsibilitiesWhile in this role your duties may include but will not be limited to:
  • Preparing prepayments, monthly accruals and the P&L related schedules, as well as conducting analysis of the ledger accounts and reconciling balance sheet accounts
  • Supporting the accounts payable and receivable functions as needed with address queries, processing invoices and ledger entries and chasing debt via email and telephone to secure outstanding money
  • Supporting both the audit process and also the preparation of statutory returns such as VAT and Year End Accounts
  • Handling regular duties such as banking, allocating payments and updating cash receipts
  • Providing assistance with budgeting forecasting activities
  • Handling billing enquiries and liaisons arising from Private Medical Insurers
  • Providing support within a business partnering capacity, to ensure the maintenance of finance teams/functions across multiple sites, ensuring data is recorded accurately
  • Preparing weekly dashboard data sets, alongside commentary for managers
What you will need to Apply:The ideal candidate for this role will be a graduate who is keen to build up their financial career and is eager to delve into a multi-faceted role. Finance and Accounting experience will benefit applicants, as well as the possession of any finance qualification (or part-qualification) such as ACCA or AAT. A good aptitude for IT and accounting systems would be desirable.
