Job Opportunity - Part Time Accounts Administrator (14-Month Maternity Contract)

Are you a qualified AAT professional looking for a rewarding part-time role in a dynamic and growing property firm? If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for accounts, this is an exciting opportunity to join this busy accounts on a 14-month maternity cover contract as a Part Time Accounts Administrator. 

You'll be working 25 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9-3 with a 1 hour lunch break, salary is to £30,000 FTE

As the Part Time Accounts Administrator, you'll play an essential role in supporting the efficient management of client accounts within the property sector. This position offers the perfect environment for an AAT-qualified individual looking to further develop their experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administering client accounts and working closely with property managers to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.
  • Processing daily tenant receipts from bank statements and post, ensuring all payments are accurately recorded.
  • Raising and running tenant demands on key dates, as well as quarterly demands when required.
  • Reconciling bank statements and entering bank interest to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Processing supplier invoices and ensuring prompt payment.
  • Preparing and completing VAT returns and assisting clients with their own VAT submissions.
  • Issuing annual reports and supporting tax return preparation.
  • Managing service charges for properties and sites, ensuring that budgets and charges are up to date and accurate.
  • Reconciling service charge accounts, preparing demands, and managing tenant credits.
  • Overseeing property account spreadsheets for service charges, sinking funds, and utilities.
  • Maintaining the database by setting up new clients, properties, suppliers, and tenancies.

The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a detail-oriented, organised and proactive individual with the following:

  • AAT or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous accounts experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with property management software is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Outstanding time management skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively.
