Are you a dynamic sales leader with a passion for driving growth and exceeding targets? Our client, a market leader in specialised solutions for Secure Environments and Commercial markets, is seeking a motivated General Sales Manager to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to manage all external and internal sales functions (excluding exports), supported by a team of seven.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Management: Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets at budgeted margins. Manage the sales funnel and ensure financial success through accurate reporting and forecasting.
  • Customer Engagement: Maximise product specification and sales. Provide excellent sales and technical support to both existing and new customers to meet annual sales goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage your team to maximise sales, utilising other resources as required.
  • Direct Customer Interaction: Manage sales, technical, tender, and specification-related issues directly with customers to maximise opportunities.
  • Process Improvement: Review and implement improvements to business processes to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Opportunity Management: Track, follow up, forecast, and close opportunities identified by your team.
  • Proposal Preparation: Produce comprehensive and compliant proposals by understanding ITTs and relevant market standards.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with constructors, architects, specifiers, engineers, and end clients.
  • Event Participation: Organise and attend exhibitions and events as agreed with senior management.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports and sales forecasts to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales management within relevant markets
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent customer service and technical support capabilities
  • Ability to handle multiple sales streams and projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales pipeline management
  • Strong understanding of market and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
