Our client, a market leader in specialised solutions for Secure Environments and Commercial markets, is seeking a motivated General Sales Manager to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to manage all external and internal sales functions (excluding exports), supported by a team of seven.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Management: Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets at budgeted margins. Manage the sales funnel and ensure financial success through accurate reporting and forecasting.
- Customer Engagement: Maximise product specification and sales. Provide excellent sales and technical support to both existing and new customers to meet annual sales goals.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage your team to maximise sales, utilising other resources as required.
- Direct Customer Interaction: Manage sales, technical, tender, and specification-related issues directly with customers to maximise opportunities.
- Process Improvement: Review and implement improvements to business processes to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Opportunity Management: Track, follow up, forecast, and close opportunities identified by your team.
- Proposal Preparation: Produce comprehensive and compliant proposals by understanding ITTs and relevant market standards.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with constructors, architects, specifiers, engineers, and end clients.
- Event Participation: Organise and attend exhibitions and events as agreed with senior management.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports and sales forecasts to senior management.

- Proven experience in sales management within relevant markets
