Risk & Compliance Advisor - Salisbury - up to £37,000About the company:Are you a seasoned professional in risk management and compliance looking for an exciting opportunity in the legal sector? Our client is a reputable solicitors' firm seeking a dedicated and experienced Risk and Compliance Advisor to join their thriving team. In a nutshell, you will be primarily acting as compliance support, providing guidance and advice, whilst identifying and managing regulatory risk and internal controls and mitigating risk. This is a great opportunity to join a new and growing team and create a positive impact along the way!What you'll be doing:

  • Establish and maintain effective risk management and compliance frameworks
  • Consider the impact of regulatory changes on internal policies and controls and update
  • Develop, implement, and oversee policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify areas of potential risk and non-compliance Provide guidance and support to staff at all levels on risk and compliance matters
  • Undertake regular internal regulatory reviews/audits
  • Looking for changes in regulatory requirements and ensure the firm's practices are up to date
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address compliance issues and implement best practices. (Insurers/External Solicitors)

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in a risk and compliance role.
  • Experience of designing, developing, and delivering internal regulatory training would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience of undertaking internal regulatory audits.
  • Experience in money laundering, KYC (know your client
  • Detailed knowledge of SRA, AML and/or GDPR requirements and the regulatory framework, along with money laundering and KYC.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all parts of the firm
  • Ability to support and assist in the development of more junior members of the Risk team
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Hours & Benefits:

  • 35 hours per week/Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm (1 hour lunch)
