We are looking for somebody to join the small team in our Salisbury based workshop to assist in the production and assembly of agricultural pump systems which are shipped to customers around the world.
Your responsibilities would include:
- Using machine tools to manufacture parts from a range of materials.
- Assembling these parts into complete products.
- Testing these products to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Manufacturing cable assemblies.
- Packaging and arranging shipments for orders.
After some experience has been gained, your duties could go on to include:
- Taking calls and emails from customers to advise, troubleshoot and sell products.
- Having input into development of new products.
- Purchasing materials and parts from suppliers.
- Processing invoices and other documents.
We are looking for somebody who has the following skills and qualities:
- An aptitude and enjoyment for working with your hands making things.
- An eye for detail and accuracy.
- The ability to solve problems.
- The desire to learn new skills.
- Experience with using machine tools (lathes, milling machines etc) would be desirable but it is by no means a requirement.
We are offering a relaxed working environment where you will complete a wide range of different tasks, with two days very rarely being the same. The job would be 37.5 hours per week Mon-Fri with more flexible working hours available if desired. Starting salary between £26,000 and £30,000 P/A depending on experience and relevant skills. With opportunity to increase this as you gain knowledge and experience in the role.
