We are looking for a Senior IT Engineer to join a well-established IT company based in Salisbury. Since 1999, this company has been supporting businesses across the South, with most clients based locally. This is a varied, hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across different technologies and solving technical challenges.
You will work from the office, visit client sites, and occasionally work remotely. The company prides itself on providing high-quality IT solutions, and your expertise will play a key role in ensuring clients receive the best service.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Delivering high-level technical support and project work for a range of clients.
- Managing cloud migrations, including Office 365, SharePoint, and Azure.
- Supporting networking technologies, including VLANs, QoS, VPNs, DNS (Sophos experience preferred).
- Working with telephony systems, including Mitel Hosted Cloud, Cisco, and Broadworks.
- Configuring and maintaining virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Handling hardware deployments, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
What We Are Looking For:
- Strong technical expertise across IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud solutions.
- Experience with Windows Server, Office 365, networking, and virtualisation.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement solutions effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and manage workloads efficiently.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a senior technical role, ideally within an MSP or fast-paced IT environment.
- Full UK driving licence - some travel to client sites will be required.
