Position: Health & Safety Advisor
Location: Salisbury, with travel to Portsmouth (1 week in 4)
Salary: up to £38,000 (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 37.5 Hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM

We are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor to support our clients operational teams in Salisbury and Southampton.

You will be working with the Health and Safety Manager to provide guidance and solutions to ensure work activities of employees and subcontractors are completed in a safe manner. You will ensure that all works are compliant with current regulations and adhere to Safety Operating Procedures.

This role will see you responsible for providing support with any health and safety requirements related to the delivery of preventive planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, and Billable Works requirements, ensuring records are kept up to date.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Support the estate as SME advisor on all H&S, Fire Safety and Environmental matters and technologies within the building environment.
  • Carry out Accident/Incident investigations and ensure lessons learned are realised and achievable.
  • Run project activities as agreed within the SHEF activities.
  • Comply with all relevant Health and Safety procedures, ensuring the requirements of Health and Safety at Work act and Environmental legislation are always met and records maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with Billable Works governance process.
  • Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled inspections of work activities across the estate.
  • Taking appropriate action where any H&S management is failing.

What youll need to do this role
  • It is essential that you have previous experience Health and Safety management in construction
  • It is essential that you have a NEBOSH General certification.
  • It is desirable that you have NEBOSH certification in construction.
  • Demonstrableknowledge of current and relevant H&S legislation, including CDM Regulations 2015 and MOD Safety Rules.
  • Experience of working within a team.
  • It is essential that you hold a clean and valid UK driving licence.

You must be able to pass SC Clearance to be considered for this role.

You must be a British Citizen to be eligible for this role.
