Duties and key responsibilities
- Generate and analyse the appropriate reports to determine production capacity.
- Receive customer orders and enquiries from the Sales Department.
- Raise work orders & purchase orders to agree delivery dates in line with customer requirements and available production capacity in line with TOC.
- Return customer orders and enquiries to the Sales Department.
- Generate and distribute works orders on a weekly basis.
- Advise on make or buy decisions to minimise customer lead times.
- Place orders on "virtual workcentres" e.g. Belos and any subcomponents e.g., Collets & Weights.
- Develop the visual workcentres as we purchase planning modules.
- Provide cover for other members of the planning & procurement team.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 / HND level qualifications desirable but not essential if time served as a materials or production planner.
Experience
- Previous materials or production planner experience in a manufacturing environment essential.
- Knowledge/experience of importing desirable.

- The ability to follow procedures in an accurate and timely manner.
