We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspection Engineer to join our team. This role involves coordinating the Quality office, managing staff, and controlling the inspection of all parts received from suppliers. You will be responsible for initiating and investigating non-conforming parts, compiling detailed Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIRs), and working closely with the R&D and Production teams to resolve product development and quality issues.
Day-to-day of the role:- Coordinate the Quality office including first line management for all staff.
- Control the inspection of all parts received from suppliers using both manual and digital inspection and measuring devices.
- Initiate investigations for all non-conforming parts, raise non-conformance reports, and liaise with suppliers for corrective actions.
- Compile detailed ISIRs for new products, new suppliers, or parts manufactured by modified/repaired tooling.
- Work collaboratively with the R&D team on product development and with Production to resolve component quality issues.
- Ensure all inspection details are recorded accurately.
- Proven experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manual and digital inspection and measuring devices.
- Ability to manage and coordinate a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in all inspection reports and documentation.
