A growing business is seeking a Head of Product Development (UK) to spearhead the design, development, and continuous improvement of both hardware and software, aligning with their company strategic vision.

You will receive a salary of up to £67,000 per annum.

As the Head of Product Development (UK) you will:

Lead the Design and Development team to deliver projects within timeframes and budgets.
Plan and allocate resources effectively to ensure smooth project delivery.
Collaborate with Product Managers to define and prioritise project goals.
Contribute to the technical design of products, ensuring alignment with market needs, production capabilities, and sustainability efforts.
Drive continuous improvement across the design and development process.
Mentor and coach team members, supporting their professional development and the achievement of company objectives.
Balance the support of existing products with the creation of new ones, ensuring effective resource allocation.
Work closely with the Production and Operations teams to launch new products and ensure a smooth transition into manufacturing.

We are looking for a Head of Product Development (UK) with:

Previous experience in an R & D environment.
An Automotive/Aerospace/Innovation background is beneficial, but not essential.
Experience leading a design / development team.
Knowledge of tools and techniques for lean development processes and understanding of design / development role in a business manufacturing structure
Proficiency in common software such as MS 365, Teams, GitHub, and project management tools.
