We are seeking a dedicated Design Technology Teacher to inspire and educate students at Key Stages 3 and 4. This part-time, fixed-term position is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with a passion for design and technology to make a significant impact on our students’ educational journey.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating Design Technology lessons that adhere to the national curriculum.
  • Encourage creativity and problem-solving skills through practical and theoretical teaching methods.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ work, providing constructive feedback to support their progress.
  • Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment where students can learn and explore different materials and techniques.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop new curriculum materials and resources.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the wider school community through various events and activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A recognised teaching qualification with a specialism in Design Technology.
  • Experience teaching Design Technology at KS3 and KS4 levels.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Proficiency in a range of Design Technology techniques and a willingness to keep up-to-date with new developments in the subject.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
