As an English Teacher, you will be tasked with creating engaging and motivating lessons that build students' confidence and expertise in the subject. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Inspire and challenge students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
- Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on student progress
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking
- Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students in their learning
- Support students in developing strong literacy skills and a love for reading and writing
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, such as debate clubs or creative writing workshops
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in department meetings, planning, and professional development
Who We're Looking For
- A fully qualified English Teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience in teaching KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a plus)
- In-depth subject knowledge and a genuine passion for both English literature and language.
- Exceptional communication and classroom management skills
- A dedication to inspiring and motivating students to reach their full potential
- A flexible, proactive approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt to varying classroom needs
- An eagerness to engage with the wider school community and contribute to extracurricular activities
