Maths Teacher – Secondary School Near Andover
Start Date: April 2025 (After Easter) – Maternity Cover (Until July 2025)
Pay: £150 - £230 per day (depending on experience)
Are you a passionate and dedicated Maths teacher seeking an exciting opportunity to join a supportive secondary school near Andover? We are looking for an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to cover a maternity leave from April 2025 (after Easter), with the contract running until at least July 2025. This role will involve teaching Maths across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop a deep understanding of the subject and prepare for their GCSE exams.
About the Role:
As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons to students at KS3 and KS4. You will be part of a close-knit and collaborative Maths department, working alongside experienced colleagues who are committed to the success and development of their students. This role is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are looking for a supportive environment to develop their teaching skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Maths lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.
- Align lessons with the national curriculum and support students in preparing for their GCSE exams.
- Create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that fosters a love for Maths and problem-solving.
- Provide constructive feedback and regularly monitor students’ progress to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate within the Maths department and with colleagues to share best practices and innovative teaching strategies.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities or departmental initiatives, when applicable.

Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
