A friendly and inclusive Specialist School in Salisbury are looking for a Mental Health Assistant to support their students with social, emotional and mental health needs. The pupils have a range of difficulties, including trauma, anxiety, OCD, depression, attachment disorders and behavioural issues. The students therefore need a Mental Health Assistant who is understanding of their needs, proactive and ready for a challenge!

The children in this school have extremely complex needs and therefore require a Mental Health Assistant who is open-minded, resilient, and knowledgeable about mental health. The perfect candidate will therefore have experience working with children or vulnerable adults. Graduates who have qualified in Psychology, Criminology or Counselling would be perfect for this position.

The school has small class sizes to allow for greater 1:1 time between pupils and the staff. The school also focuses on promoting inclusivity and diversity in every aspect of school life. It encourages the development of appropriate social skills and positive behavioural choices, through restorative and therapeutic practices.
