The post is based in a service that provides residential care to children with a range of needs including emotional and behavioural. You will provide care and support to the children and young people in the service.
Your duties will include:
*Providing care and support to young people
*Providing guidance and help
*Helping with activities, education and daily living tasks
*Helping children to settle into the service
*Helping with preparation for leaving care services
Ongoing training and induction is provided along with a great career development programme. You must have a caring nature and you will need to be patient, understanding and be able to build rapport and relationships with vulnerable young people along with experience of working with children in a previous role. Due to the nature of the service there will be a requirement for some evening/weekend working along with sleep ins.
