Reed are working with one of the UK’s largest social housing providers to recruit a dedicated Housing Officer to join their team, providing exceptional housing management services at 2 retirement living schemes in Salisbury.

The role involves working closely with a Wellbeing & Community Connector to support the residents in leading independent and socially connected lives within a safe environment. This position requires a blend of operational management, health & safety compliance, and customer service excellence

Housing Officer

  • Part Time, 30 hours per week
  • Salisbury
  • £12.00/hr, equivalent to £18,750 per annum.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Assist Delivery Managers with the operational management of the Independent Living Scheme.
  • Deliver an on-site housing management service that supports residents’ independence and safety.
  • Encourage Ageing Well initiatives and foster social connections among residents.
  • Conduct routine health & safety checks, including building and fire safety, and warden call system checks.
  • Identify and manage risks, ensuring safeguarding measures are in place and actions are taken to manage risks effectively.
  • Perform associated administration and planning tasks to facilitate the smooth running of the scheme.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records, ensuring all information is represented and captured precisely.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a housing environment or demonstrable experience in frontline customer service.
  • Good general IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn in-house systems.
  • Excellent record-keeping skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with strong organisational skills and a passion for delivering innovative services.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate information clearly with various stakeholders.
  • Practical and logical thinking with the ability to produce high-quality work and overcome issues to meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and handling feedback and complaints effectively.
