- Undertake statutory social work assessments, identifying risks, needs, and strengths within families.
- Work closely with families, schools, health professionals, and partner agencies to develop SMART care plans.
- Undertake child protection investigations, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Prepare and present reports for case conferences, legal proceedings, and multi-agency meetings.
- Work in line with best practices and statutory guidance, maintaining accurate case records.
- Support children and families to access appropriate services, advocating for their needs.
- Qualifications: Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
- Experience: Significant post-qualification experience in assessment, child protection, and safeguarding.
- Skills: Strong risk assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge: Sound understanding of legislation, policies, and best practices in children’s social care.
- Other Requirements: Ability to travel within Wiltshire as needed.
