Software Developers (C# .Net Core, Eligible for SC Clearance).Salisbury, UK (2 days in office per month).Up to £50000- Must be eligible for SC Clearance (Last 5 years resident in the UK, with no individual trips over 30 days out of the country).- Must have a driving license.Your new companyThis Facilities Management business is a leading Partner for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), managing and maintaining the Defence Training Estate (DTE). With a new 10-year contract commencing in 2024 they are at the forefront of delivering exceptional services. Their Information and Technology Department is crucial in supporting our mission by delivering, supporting, and maintaining all user-facing IT services, enabling their team to excel in their roles.They are undertaking a Digital Transformation impacting their entire IT department and are hiring a number of key roles as part of this process. Central to this is the hire of 2 new .Net Developer positions to reduce their reliance on contractors and provide a progression path.Their head office location is North of Salisbury and you would be expected to spend some time here (minimum 2 days per month) so must have a driving license due to the remote location.Your new roleThe IT team is 50 strong and the business has over 120 sites so it's an exciting time to be joining. It's a Microsoft house so the role surrounds the .Net framework but you will have the opportunity to work with wider technologies including SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics, Maximo, Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence so knowledge in these areas or an interest in broadening your exposure will be a bonus.The team run Agile and you'll be encouraged to reinforce and embed these practices. Also a migration to the cloud is definitely on the roadmap so experience with moving from on-prem to Azure would be useful.The organisation takes great pride in ensuring all their employees are given access to a full training program to ensure the teams skills remain current. There are also good progression opportunities here, we've seen people promoted recently within 6 months of joining.What you'll need to succeedThe business are undergoing a modernisation so you'll have the opportunity to work with .Net Core or .Net 8 along with Blazor / Angular on the front end).Required* 3+ Years + Commercial experience with ASP.NET MVC, C# - web based functionality using HTML/CSS/JavaScript and ideally Angular.* Interest in .Net 8, .Net Core, Blazor and other emerging Microsoft Technologies.* Comprehensive understanding of multiple databases including SQL Server.* Implementation of Agile practices and software design patterns used appropriately.Desirable Skills* Industry recognised qualifications such as MCPD / Certified Scrum Master* Commercial exposure to SharePoint 2010/2013 / Maximo / BI / REST* Knowledge of Dependency Injection* Knowledge of Azure Cloud.What you'll get in returnYou'll get access to industry leading training/certifications, good pension, free parking and working alongside some highly experienced and talented colleagues to share knowledge (which is actively encouraged).
