About the Role: We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a creative and passionate Art and Design Teacher to join a supportive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Salisbury. The role will involve teaching both primary and secondary-aged students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH)needs and Autism. You will be responsible for creating engaging and inspiring Art and Design lessons, tailored to the specific needs of each student.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking to make a real impact in a rewarding environment. The school is looking for someone who is dedicated to fostering creativity and confidence in students who benefit from a more personalised approach to education. The role starts ideally immediately, or from Easter 2025, and there is potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.

Ideal Candidate:
- Experience teaching Art and Design in a UK secondary or primary setting, ideally with SEN experience.
- Strong classroom management skills, especially in supporting students with SEMH and Autism.
- Creative, patient, and passionate about supporting students in developing their artistic skills.
- Able to work flexibly and adapt lesson plans to meet individual student needs.
- Collaborative and supportive team player who can work effectively with other staff members.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
