Planned Works Surveyor – Roofing Permanent Opportunity via BRC Jobs:                Planned Works Surveyor – Roofing   Location:        Hampshire/Wiltshire (Based from home & hybrid working) Sector:            Property and Housing Hours:             Mon – Fri 37  Job Type:        Permanent Salary:             £43,000 (DOE)   We currently have a new opportunity for a planned works surveyor to join a regional housing association predominantly covering Hampshire & Wiltshire working on planned works roofing projects.  Main Responsibilities: 
  1. In this role you will need strong contractor management experience, overseeing works for roofing renewals to residential properties including blocks of flats
  2. You will be responsible for driving the planned programmes, managing these from start to finish
  3. Carry out surveys as part of roof replacement projects, assessing materials and works required to various roofing structures such as flat roofs and pitch roofs
  4. Producing regular supplier performance reports to implement early improvements.
  5. We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of project management techniques, especially within multi-trade contracts.
  6. Proven ability to conduct surveys and provide insights on construction defects and repairs.
  7. Manage any issues that may obstruct projects, taking into account any obstacles such as conservation, party wall and planning permissions
  8. Ensure works are carried out to health and safety regulations
  9. Act as a point of contact to liaise with customers, ensuring a high quality of customer service is being delivered and any concerns or issues are highlighted and actioned with the team
  Job Requirements
  • A full UK Driving Licence
  • HNC/HND qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience of strong contractor management and working on roofing projects
  • Knowledge of H&S and risk assessments
