Personnel Selection is seeking two candidates for permanent roles as Despatch Operatives based in Amesbury Wiltshire due to the expansion of the clients business.

You will be despatching Chemical and Non-Chemical items. Due to the clients product for despatch internationally, you will be required to have excellent verbal and written communication skills to handle the paperwork involved. Computer literacy is essential to ensure the clients Safety and Compliance policy is strictly adhered to at all times.

You will be working in the Despatch Area of the warehouse within a small team, where being a Team Player is a priority. Primary responsibility is picking product, checking, labelling, packing, wrapping and despatching customer orders prompt and in a timely manner, ensuring all regulations and compliance is always meet and attention to detail and accuracy is paramount.  

Working hours will be Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:30 (1/2-hour unpaid lunch), Friday 08:30-12:30 (no lunch) 4.5 days per week (36 hours total)

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Computer Literate – MS Office Products, Email, Warehouse Systems.  
  • Qualified to satisfactory standard at GCSE as a Minimum (or equivalent) Maths and English.                      
  • IATA / ADR Dangerous Goods Certificated  ideal however training available.                                      
  • Forklift Licence – Counterbalance / Reach Truck ideal however Training Available.  
  • Numeracy and Literacy.                                                                                             
  • Written and Oral Communication Skills.
  • Problem-solving, and evaluation skills.
  • Working to deadlines and under pressure.
