Membership Sales Manager - Premium Golf & Fitness Club - Saltash South Cornwall/South Devon

From £28,000 basic + circa £600+ month commission (uncapped)+ development opportunities

We are looking for a Membership Sales Manager in Saltash for one of the U.K.'s top Premium Health, Fitness and Golf clubs. The company is renowned for developing and progressing their top talent, and with a genuinely achievable commission structure and opportunity to grow the role further, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional who is passionate about golf or fitness.

The role:

  • Take responsibility for the customer journey, from enquiry to joining.
  • Coach, motivate and lead a small team of sales consultants to achieve their KPI's.
  • Lead by example and contributing towards the overall sales target for the club.
  • Create sales plans and deliver outreach activity in the local community and to local businesses to generate new leads.
  • Work with other departments to develop an in-reach strategy such as promotions and events to increase membership sales.
  • Identify trends in leavers and work with other departments to improve retention and net gain numbers.
  • As Senior Manager, support the overall business by ensuring prospects and members have a fantastic customer experience.

The person.

  • An outgoing personable disposition who is motivated by hitting targets.
  • A hands-on approach to leadership who will lead by example.
  • Evidence of high performance in previous commercial sales roles.
  • Experience within the sports/fitness/leisure industry or if coming from another industry, can demonstrate their passion for health and fitness or golf.
  • Comfortable with working a range of mid-week shifts and some weekends.
  • Sales team leadership experience possibly as a Sales Manager, Commercial Manager, Business Development Manager, Assistant Manager, Deputy Club Manager or even an experienced Senior Membership Sales/ Sales Consultant looking for the next step.
  • Ideally experience in proactively generating leads with outreach, social media, sales planning and local marketing activities with local businesses/in the community.
  • Have your own transport and live within 45 minutes of Saltash or willing to relocate.
